There’s So Much to See, So Much to Do at Your Library

Read, learn, connect, have fun!
Books, CDs, DVDs, computers and more.
It’s all there for you at your library.

People of all ages are encouraged to enjoy their local public library, and adults can share that pleasure with the children in their lives.

Children of all ages should use their public library. Parents should know that taking their kids to the library is one of the best and most important things they can do.

“At the moment that we persuade a child…to cross that magic threshold into a library, we change their life forever, for the better,” said President Barack Obama.

Children who have library cards and use the library perform better in school. Libraries also offer a variety of programs to stimulate an interest in reading and learning, and librarians can recommend materials suitable for various ages and interests.

Visit your local public library, where there’s so much to see and so much to do. And remember to celebrate National Library Week, April 11-17.
